गुरुः साक्षात् परं ब्रह्म
तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः
A teacher is a guiding light! The festival of Guru Purnima was celebrated in our school on 3rd July 2023. To mark this auspicious day, after the morning prayer, the students of std 10th recited the shlokas and enlightened the fellow students about its meaning in English.
There were various activities planned for the day which included the ‘Guru Paduka’ making competition, flower making competition, drawing competition, bouquet making competition, greeting card making competition and the essay writing competition. All the students from std 5th to the 10th participated in the competitions organised for their classes. Each student creatively presented the articles that showed their love, gratitude and respect towards all their teachers. It was indeed a day full of gratitude.
Later as the day progressed, the students of std 9th and 10th had also arranged for a small program for the teachers which highlighted the importance of Guru Purnima and Guru’s in our life. All the students were taken to the school hall to witness the same.
The day ended on a happy note where students were enlightened about the importance of Guru’s, parents and elders in their life. This Guru Purnima, our students learnt to reflect on their life and honor the wisdom that life has offered them. They were amazed at how wisdom has transformed their life, and hence felt grateful for all that has come their way.
